One other advantage of using textile silicone gel packaging is that it expands greatly when exposed to air. It is therefore possible to keep the same volume of the product at the original volume after shipping, provided that the packaging type is also kept at ambient temperature. This is unlike polystyrene foam which expands significantly as it starts to absorb moisture and air. So how does textile silicone softener work? The main purpose of textile silicone softener is to keep clothing and other materials inside the storage bin or shipping container without getting too hot. This is achieved by creating a chemical bond between the silicone gel and the materials inside the container. Once the container has been sealed the gel will start to harden and this hardening will continue until the container is completely empty. Once the container is full the gel will harden all over again and this cycle of heating and cooling will continue until the contents are completely satisfied.
